Netscape 6.x/7.x E-mail setup (imap)

1.  Go to the Edit menu and select Mail/News Account Settings...

2.  Click on the New Account button.

3.  A new account wizard window will pop up.  Choose ISP or email provider, then click Next.

4.  Identity,

Your Name:  type in your real name or initials

Email Address:  type in your full e-mail address

Click Next when done.

5.  Under Server Information window, choose IMAP, then type in mail.yourdomainname.com for Incoming and Outgoing Server Name: and click Next.

6.  Type in your full e-mail address for User Name: and click Next.

7.  Enter a name that refers to this account you're setting up, then click Next.

8.  Congratulations! Click on "Finish".

9.  After you click Finish, it will bring you back to the Account Settings window.  You must provide an IMAP server directory.  Highlight Server Settings under Mail for, then click on the Advanced button.

10.  Type in "INBOX." (without the quotes)  under the IMAP server directory.  Click OK to close the Advanced IMAP Server Settings window, and click OK to close the Account Settings window.
